RioBotz Robotics Team

RioBotz - Pioneers in Combat Robotics and Technological Innovation Founded in 2003 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), RioBotz is the worlds most awarded combat robotics team, with over 200 titles, including more than 110 gold medals. Under the guidance of Professor Marco Antonio Meggiolaro, PhD from MIT, the team has excelled in international competitions, participating in tournaments across 6 countries. We are recognized as the number one team in Brazil and the most decorated worldwide in robot combat. We are the creators of the legendary Minotaur, which won the Most Destructive Robot award at BattleBots 2016, and we were the first Latin American team to compete in the tournament.
