River of Life Mission, Hawaii

River of Life Mission is one of the most historic and storied non-profits in all of the Hawaiian Islands. It all started out of the back of a pickup truck, with a heart to help people in need. The Mission started in 1987 by meeting the most basic of needs providing food. We now serve over 700 guests per day breakfast, lunch and dinner for free. We help families move toward transition back into a home and health. We have an amazing chocolate that helps fund our programs. And we are beginning to make strides to plant our own farms to become more self-sustainable and offer job-training programs. We have an incredibly hard working staff, a generously large team of supporters, and a influential board - that deeply desire to love Jesus and love others with the hope of making a difference in the lives of people and our world.
