Rommel Chesapeake Inc. is a mid-sized holding company located in Fruitland, MD. Rommel Chesapeake has owned and operated a variety of businesses dating back to the 1950s. Operation of Ace Hardware stores began with a single unit in Ocean City, MD in 1995 and today there are eleven Ace Hardware stores in total. In the summer of 2015, Rommel Chesapeake purchased Survival Products in Salisbury, MD. Survival Products, now Rommel Hearth & Outdoor, is the areas leader in pellet stoves, wood stoves, fireplaces, and paddlesports products. Today the company consists of ten Ace Hardware stores, located from Baltimore to Ocean City, MD., Rommel Hearth and Outdoor, and several commercial properties.
