Rose Grand Prix Engineering

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology offers a great setting for eager undergraduate engineers to thrive. Formula SAE is a welcome challenge for many of these bright students. Rose-Hulman has fielded very successful teams in other design competitions such as the EcoCAR challenge, Efficient Vehicles, and Human Powered Vehicle. Our goal is to be just as successful as these other teams, not only in the competition but also in our ability to produce better engineers through practical, hands-on experience. The facilities available to the Formula SAE team are extensive. These include high powered computers for the CAD designs and analytical simulations, engine dynamometers, a full machine shop, and welding facilities, among others. The faculty at Rose-Hulman has a genuine desire to see their students become great engineers and is willing to assist without hesitation.
