Empowering New Yorkers of all backgrounds and abilities through the discipline of rowing and rigorous academic support. Row New York was founded in 2002 on the premise that the values instilled through rowing, paired with academic support, provide a strong foundation for success in college and beyond. The Row New York high school rowing program serves student-athletes from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds with high dosage, year-round rowing and academic programs. We serve student-athletes at two sites (Queens and Manhattan). We provide resources for our youth such as tutoring, career prep, and mental health support so that we are able to support their holistic development and help them meet challenges on and off the water. Our goal is to ensure that 100% of our young people graduate high school and are successful in college.
