Founded in the year 1908, Rupp is a family-run business which has grown to become Austrias largest dairy producer. Its two brands, Rupp and Alma, offer spreadable cheese and natural cheese. We are also active in the B2B sector. More than 90% of our products are exported to 65 countries around the world. Our main production facility, located in Horbranz in the province of Vorarlberg, was opened in 2008.
Our history
Our familys passion for cheese-making has been passed down through three generations. Company founder Josef Rupp I started making cheese at the age of 13. He used the money earned to attend a school in Switzerland specialising in milk and dairy production an investment which certainly paid off.
