Rwenzori Rare Metals Limited

Rwenzori Rare Metals (RRM) is a private Ugandan company doing exploration for Rare Earth Elements (REEs) in Eastern Uganda. In July 2016, RRM established a significant ionic adsorption clay deposit stretching 40km across three districts namely, Bugweri, Bugiri and Mayuge. RRM is taking lead in developing this resource in a project code-named Makuutu Rare Earth Project which is the largest known ionic adsorption clay deposit outside of Southern China. Ionic adsorption clay deposits contain high concentrations of heavy and critical rare earth necessary for manufacturing wind turbines and other modern technology gadgets like smartphones and laptops
