SABS University of Art, Design and Heritages Jamshoro

The Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro University of Art, Design, and Heritages in Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, holds the distinction of being the nations first public sector art university. Welcoming students from across the country, this prestigious institution was reconstituted and reorganized from the Centre of Excellence in Arts and Design (CEAD) at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, through Act XIV of Sindh 2020. The Sindh Assembly passed this act, and it was published in the Gazette on July 15, 2020. The visionary behind this project was Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, who aimed to create an art and design institution in Sindh, modeled after the National College of Arts in Lahore.
