SafeStride

SafeStride, Inc. is a 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating communities everywhere, present and futureindividually, technologically, professionally, and culturally. Through our conducted research, we operate on our guiding principle that increasing presence in parks, trails, and other communal areas acts as a powerful deterrent to potential verbal or physical threats, such as catcalling, harassment, or other unwanted advances; disproportionately targeting women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and other minority communities. Its essential to recognize that no one is immune; these threats impact everyoneregardless of background or identity. Our volunteers attend and engage with communal areas to increase presence; this not only enhances public safety, but revitalizes third places in our communities.
