Saint Anthony Catholic School

Saint Anthony Catholic School is a historical landmark nestled near downtown Fort Lauderdale. The school was constructed in 1926, designed by the famous architect Francis Abreau. In September of 1926, Saint Anthony Catholic School opened its doors to become the first Catholic school in Broward County. There were sixty-four students who attended that first year. The hopes, dreams, hard work and love of God exhibited by the Adrian Dominican Sisters who ran Saint Anthony Catholic School until 1982 are alive and well today. Today, Saint Anthony has approximately 450 students in grades PK-3 through 8th grade. They were the first school in the Archdiocese of Miami to earn STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, Math) certification in 2017 through the Florida Catholic Conference.
