Salem Red Sox

The Salem Red Sox are a Minor League Baseball team in Salem, Virginia. We are a member of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League and a farm team for the Boston Red Sox. The Salem Red Sox play home games at Carilion Clinic Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark. The Salem Red Sox are proud to have helped develop eight members of the 2018 World Series Championship team including reigning American League MVP Mookie Betts. Betts led Salem to our most recent Carolina League title in 2013. While the current ownership dates back to 2009, the organizations history is much more robust. In 2017 Salem played its 50th season in the Carolina League, but the professional baseball history dates all the way back to 1939. Salem alumni include Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda, National League MVP Dave Parker and two members of the Chicago Cubs curse breaking 2016 team, Anthony Rizzo and Ben Zobrist.
