We are a thriving local resource, where staff and clients form a community. Our company was launched in 1983 by Massaud Salem in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Initially, Salems began by serving restaurants, businesses, and schools as a supplier of quality foods under the name, Salems Halal Meats. At that time, our company had one main focus, to supply quality Halal meat to our community and provide a variety of international groceries.
