San Francisco In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority

The mission of San Franciscos IHSS Public Authority is to provide and promote a service delivery model of consumer directed, in-home support that maximizes the potential of older adults and people with disabilities to live independently and participate in their communities. The San Francisco In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority connects low income seniors and people with disabilities to qualified IHSS providers, so they may live healthier, happier and safer lives at home and engaged in the community. The SF IHSS PA is a consumer-directed program, meaning consumers have the right to choose who assists them. To that end, the Public Authority provides the following services: Operate a Registry to provide lists of screened workers to IHSS consumers for potential in-home employment.
