SARAID

Founded in 2003, SARAID is a British charity that provides disaster zone Search and Rescue expertise; Humanitarian Relief and Community Resilience resources in the UK and overseas. Staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers and funded solely by public donations - we receive no government or lottery funding. Every penny raised is spent on equipment, training and transporting our teams to where we are needed - whether that is a disaster site on the other side of the globe or providing community support work locally. We are on call 365 days a year, always ready to provide trained and disciplined personnel, free of charge. Unlike larger charities, we dont have a Chief Executive, salaried staff, property overheads or TV and media advertising budgets.
