STORE CLOSING 2024 Scan Home was established in the summer of 1983 with a vision to revolutionize the Alaska furniture scene by introducing affordable, contemporary Scandinavian designs. The founders dream to bring moderately priced, Scandinavian furniture to Alaska quickly gained traction, with the first batch of imported furniture from Denmark selling out immediately. The first Scan Home store, covering 3,100 square feet, opened the following spring in Anchorage. Scan Home expanded its reach throughout the years, opening its first office furniture store in 1996. Today, we operate a home and office furniture store in the Dover Center in midtown Anchorage. In early 2021, Scan Home Furniture proudly became a part of the Binkley Company.
