Scarborough Transit Connect

The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTCs Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometres farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools and other key destinations throughout the city. To deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension as quickly as possible, construction has been split into two contracts an advanced tunneling contract that is already underway, and the stations, rail and systems (SRS) contract. The SRS contract is kicking off with a development phase before the construction phase begins, with Scarborough Transit Connect selected as the partner for the development phase.
