We are dedicated to conducting cutting-edge research, providing exceptional education, engaging with industry, and sharing our passion for science. The School comprises of over 500 staff, 200 postgraduate research students, 70 MSc students and 950 undergraduate students. Research is split into one of three institutes covering the breadth and depth of physics and astronomy, and we host a number of multi-disciplinary research centres. We have significant interactions with a diverse range of funding bodies, industrial contacts and major international organisations.
