Seans Legacy

Seans Legacy is a public health nonprofit redefining primary prevention of suicide through education and mentorship. We are devoted to educating friends, parents, and loved ones about the LGBTQ+ identity and suicide prevention. Seans Legacy was founded in 2019, ten years following the passing of Sean Myers. Sean was a 13 year old dancer and artistic honors student who was relentlessly bullied for his bisexuality until the weight was too much to bare. To preserve his legacy, we are working to increase LGBTQ+ representation and identity education as a primary prevention method to reduce suicide among the LGBTQ+ population. We champion LGBTQ+ identity education because of the lack of resources that werent available to Sean when he needed them. This is why we provide educational materials for all through our Resource Hub.
