Seniors Vs Crime, Special Project of the Florida Attorney General

This Project, sponsored by the Florida Attorney General, allows volunteers over 50 to be actively involved in their own and their younger citizens protection. Volunteers have four main objectives: (1) educate the public about scams and frauds through relaxed seminars - teaching seniors how to avoid being a victim - previous complaint history as examples, (2) manage consumer cases including those referred by the Attorney Generals office or requested of the Project by other sources such as local or sheriff law enforcement departments. (3) serve as eyes and ears to inform the Attorney Generals office of current issues affecting seniors, and (4) on occasion assist law enforcement as actors with undercover operations. Seniors Vs Crime is responsible for recovering millions of dollars for seniors who were intentional or unintentional victims of con artists or honest businesses.
