Sero Consulting was founded in 2004 by David Kay and Liz Wallis, both former directors of Tribal Technology, part of Tribal plc. Tribal Technology specialised in technology solutions for the education and skills sector. Both David and Liz had been directors of a company that developed one of the first Virtual Learning Environments in the UK, as well as a sister company working on library management solutions for universities (now part of OCLC plc). Since 2004, Sero Consulting staff and Associates have delivered a wide range of consultancy projects for the Higher Education sector in the UK, Europe and North America, with particular expertise in distance and online learning, as well as library, research and e-resource solutions, from organisational, pedagogic and technological perspectives.
