SERT, A PASSION FOR FISHING, FROM LEISURE TO COMPETITION! In 1944, Mr. Alexis COUTOU founded SERT, a company specializing in the recycling of materials. He soon diversified into the import of Japanese bamboo. In 1972, the arrival of Francis COUTOU, his son, marked the beginning of large-scale import and distribution of fishing tackle under the SERT brand. In 1989, SERT moves to a new headquarters and modern logistics facility in Blanquefort. Over the years, the SERT brand has conquered a growing market share, with technical products signed by the great names in fishing. In 2004 saw the launch of the PROWESS brand for carp and the SAKURA brand for lure fishing. In 2011, SERT joins the French group headed by Mr Arnaud VAN ROBAIS, alongside RIVOLIER, its illustrious sister company based near Saint Etienne, no. 1 in hunting in France and a leader in security for the French armed forces and law enforcement agencies. 2011 also sees the launch of the KATUSHA brand, specialized in catf...
