As well as standing for Sevenoaks District Council, SDC stands for Seriously Different Council. The three main reasons we stand out are our dedication to customer service, the quality of our services and the way we empower our staff. Its not just us that think so though, we have been rated in the top 2% of best performing district councils nationally. We are also proud to hold the Investors in People Platinumaccreditation - the first local authority and public sector employer to secure the award in May 2016. Sevenoaks District is large, covering 142 square miles. A huge 93% of that is Green Belt and a lot of the area is rural. However we do have some thriving big towns in the district including Sevenoaks, Swanley, Edenbridge and Westerham.
