Shamsul Alamin Group (SAG) is one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh whose journey commenced back in 1958 after the legendary and ambitious Late Al Haj A.K Shamsul Alamin, a young man at the time and a law graduate, quit his secured government job and pursued his vision, his dream of conquering the business world. SAG then became one of the first in the country to enter the Primary Textile market in 1983, forming the company Shamsul Alamin Cotton Mills Ltd. To this day, the textile division of SAG continues to dominate the yarn market despite strong competition.
