Shares aim is to transform disabled peoples lives so that they live more independently and make choices about all aspects of their lives. We provide training and employment support for disabled adults, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and other support needs. Share was founded in 1972. We are based in Wandsworth, but we work across the boroughs in London, supporting residents from Lambeth, Southwark, Croydon and Merton among others. As well as our accredited training programmes in independent living skills, basic skills, digital skills, horticulture and catering, we provide a number of short courses that centre around personal development, health and wellbeing, such as music, creative writing, art and yoga. We operate two social enterprises Share Gardening and Share Catering which provide services to the local community while offering safe and supported working for our graduates.
