SheEOTM

At SheEO we are here to transform ourselves and systems by collectively working on the Worlds To-Do List. We started in Canada in 2015 to demonstrate a radically redesigned model to get capital (all forms of capital) into the hands of women and non-binary innovators. At the time ~3% of venture capital and 4% of bank loans went to women. It has since backslid even further with COVID exacerbating deeply biased systems and structures. Over the years, SheEO has grown to 5 countries (Canada, US, New Zealand, Australia, UK) and evolved to formally recognize and support non-binary individuals as Activators and Ventures. Our collective purpose has also grown - from funding entrepreneurs to also shifting our mindsets, decolonizing ourselves, rooting in Indigenous wisdom and racial justice, and using our power to build equitable systems.
