Shehersaaz

Shehersaaz is a civil initiative aimed to make the urban and suburban settlements of Pakistan safer, resilient, sustainable, inclusive, and humane. Shehersaaz started its activities, informally, in 1996 and formally established its office in Lahore in 1998. However it received its registration certificate as a non-government entity under Trust Act 1882 of Pakistan in 2002. Since then, Shehersaazs central secretariat is located in Islamabad, Pakistan. Shehersaaz is a Persian rooted Urdu word compounding Sheher (City or Cities) and Saaz (Maker or Makers).
