Sherburn House Charity

Sherburn House Charity exists to provide relief in need to people living in the North East of England. The activities that support this mission are the provision of residential care, sheltered housing and independent living to frail older people or those with housing/care needs over the age of 55. We have invested heavily in refurbishing our grade 2 care home and sheltered housing stock on site, thereby protecting our assets for years to come, and increasing quality of life for those who choose to reside with us. Another very important function of the charity is to relieve need, hardship and distress in the north-east, by providing grant funding to individuals for small but essential household items. Due to the intensity of the workload this work is currently managed by our partners from County Durham Community Foundation
