Ships Classification (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (SCM) is the national premier classification society providing vessel classifications for maritime industry. SCM is made of 70% technical personnel and professionals consist of Naval Architects, Marine Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Graduate Engineers and Master Foreign Going. The surveys of ships classed under SCM are in accordance with SCMs Classification Rules (KELASRules) as well as regulations established by International Conventions, and are consistent with the standards of other International Classification Societies (IACS).
