Shire Oak Academy

Shire Oak is an 11 to 18 comprehensive academy. In September 2003 we received designation as a specialist science college. In April 2011, our school became a converter academy. We have over 1,400 students on roll. The academy enjoys an enviable reputation in the local area and has been oversubscribed for many years. We pride ourselves on the feel of our academy, something on which our visitors quickly remark. Ofsteds inspectors (our most recent inspection was in November 2014) described our academys atmosphere and environment as purposeful, stimulating and harmonious. We believe that our focus on learning and personal success can only be effective in an environment which is ordered, caring, supportive and disciplined.
