Shire of Irwin

The Shire of Irwin is the Local Government authority that maintains services to the twin towns of Dongara and Port Denison, and the surrounding rural areas (2,223km2 - total area). Located 352km north of Perth and 66km south of Geraldton the Shire presents a progressive alternative to the hustle and bustle of city life with its brilliant blend of coastal and rural landscapes, the blend of new and old and the blend of lifestyle and employment opportunities. With a population of approximately 3,800 people, the community are serviced by the Shires 44 staff members (35.2 FTE) who can be found in the one of the following four work areas; Administration Officer, Visitors Centre, Operations Depot and Recreation Centre.
