Shomang Construction formerly known as Sunrise Electrical is family owned business based in Johannesburg and was founded in 1996 by husband and wife Morris and Mapula Ramatapa. They had a strong desire to better their community and bring forth change in South Africa through the construction industry. The very first project that Shomang Construction embarked on was that of a primary school, which spearheaded the company into the construction industry. Over the past 22 years the company has gained a reputable status that has seen Shomang develop and grow into a company that offers electrical, building and civil services to government schools, clinics, prisons libraries, community halls and other infrastructure. The company is 100% black owned and managed and 50% black women-owned and is also a level 1 BBBEE contributor.
