Silpakorn University

Sipakorn University serves as a higher governmental educational institute, integrating research and education, and disseminating knowledge of art, culture, science and technology to produce qualified graduates with intelligence, creativity, morality, ethical motivation and a sense of responsibility towards society. The university has approximately 11,000 undergraduate students, and 3,000 post-graduate students located in three main campuses; Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom province, and Phetchaburi province. Academic staff numbers are roughly 700, with an additional 500 academic assistants and administrative personnel. The university was originally established as the School of Fine Arts under the Fine Arts Department found in 1943.
