Where we came from: The SCI was founded almost fifty years ago to upgrade the technical expertise of insurance industry practitioners as part of Singapores drive to establish itself as an international insurance hub. Since then weve enhanced capabilities across insurance and financial services through practice-oriented programmes, certification programmes and professional qualifications. Though this mission to develop capability has (and always will) remain the same, the way we do it has come a long way.
