Single Thread Theatre Company creates immersive theatre experiences in Canada and internationally that seek to advance the art of immersive storytelling through innovation and the presentation of new works. For the past two decades, Single Thread has played a role in shaping enthusiasm and best practices for site-responsive and immersive theatre in Canada and worked with hundreds of emerging and established theatre artists. Looking forward, Single Thread is developing immersive storytelling techniques as a teaching tool in Canadian schools through the Single Thread Education program. The company is also exploring the emerging medium of XR (augmented, virtual and mixed reality) as a means of telling stories to a broader audience through Single Thread XR.
