SKIDS provides a safe, secure environment for the care of primary school aged children through a structured, well-balanced programme. The first SKIDS Afterschool care programme was opened at Albany Primary School in 1996 by two mothers looking for quality, structured afterschool care for their own children. None was available within the local community, hence the first SKIDS programme was established. Within a very short time there were three programme operating on the North Shore. A decision was then made to franchise the business, and SKIDS has not looked back since. With over 30 afterschool care programmes and holiday programmes operating onsite throughout the Auckland area this franchise business has developed into a well known and respected service provider. A member of OSCN, we are one of the few service providers who have umbrella approval from CYFs allowing our parents the opportunity to access the OSCAR subsidy.
