Skocdopole Construction Ltd

The Skocdopole family has been in the construction business as far back as 1929 when founder Charles Skocdopole was a road foreman for the Municipal District of Dublin, just east of the town of Stettler, Alberta. Charles bought some equipment and started clearing, breaking land and doing road construction, which was the start of his long career in the construction business. From that early start, Skocdopole Construction Ltd. has continued to grow and undergo many changes over the years and in the 1950s the company turned its attention to the oil fields of Alberta where there was a requirement for pipeline, seismic and drilling operations. In 1964, Skocdopole Construction Ltd. was incorporated and was deeply involved with the early history of rural natural gas installation and the plowing of PVC and polyethylene pipe.
