The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) is the largest and oldest membership organisation of Alexander Technique Teachers. It was founded in the UK in 1958 by teachers who had trained with Frederick Matthias Alexander. STATs aims are to ensure the highest standards of teacher training and professional practice, to promote public awareness and understanding of the Alexander Technique, and to encourage research.
