South Ribble Borough Council

We are the local government authority serving the borough of South Ribble an area of around 113 square kilometres with roughly 110,000 residents and 50,000 dwellings. Our 2.8 million investment into Worden Hall is set to be completed this summer, making the space useful for the modern world. The improvements will allow the historic building to cater for small weddings and other events once opened. A high-quality retail space will also be available for local traders and providing multi-use spaces for office and educational use. To transform the leisure offer in the borough we have invested 1.8 million to create a brand new 3G playing pitch hub at Withy Grove Park. The facility will have two 3G artificial sport pitches, complimented by a fully accessible, state of the art sports pavilion.
