South West Coastal Monitoring

South West Coastal Monitoring (SWCM) is one of six regional Programmes which collectively monitor the entire coast of England and Wales. We have been collecting, collating, and reporting on a variety of data since 2006, building on one of the most comprehensive coastal datasets in the world. Covering more than 2,000 km of the South West coast, The Programme has been providing a standard, repeatable and cost-effective method of monitoring the coastal environment since 2006. All of the high quality data collected is made available - free of charge - to everyone via the National Coastal Monitoring Programmes website
