Space and Satellite Systems

The Space and Satellite Systems Club (SSS) at UC Davis is the only student-run organization at UC Davis devoted to the pursuit of space technologies. Were currently developing the REALOP CubeSat, the first satellite to be designed, manufactured, and tested solely by undergraduates at UC Davis. REALOP, or Remote Experimentation and Analysis of Low Orbit Phenomena, is tasked with collecting and relaying data on environmental observations to an online tool designed to teach students of all levels how to program and analyze data with the intent of reaching scientific conclusions. The mission is a part of NASAs CubeSat Launch Initiative (CSLI), and we are currently seeking financial support for other costs associated with the mission.
