Spardha, IIT (BHU) Varanasi

Spardha is the All India Games & Sports Festival of IIT (BHU), Varanasi. In its glorious history of 35 years, Spardha has grown to become the largest and most awaited sports festival of the country, where athletic competition is drawn from throughout the country. Each year, thousands of participants, from over 100 technical and non-technical institutions compete in an array of sports like hockey, basketball, cricket, boxing, tennis and many more, creating a stunning spectacle of exceptional fervidness in athletic talent. The festival is embraced by one of the best gatherings of celebrated sports persons and a spirited audience. Spardha has been graced by eminent personalities like Mr. V. V. S. Laxman, Ms. Sakshi Malik, Mr. Dhanraj Pillay, Mr. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore in the past, and has established itself as a brand amongst college festivals.
