Spark CG Society

Formed in 2008, in alliance with the Vancouver ACM SIGGRAPH chapter, the Spark Computer Graphics (Spark CG) Society has been working behind the scenes of Vancouvers computer graphics community, organizing and hosting events that foster community, ignite the imagination and advance technology. Since the inaugural SPARK FX in January 2008 and SPARK ANIMATION in September 2008, the Spark CG Society has continued to bring the best of the international community to Vancouver and over the years has played host to a number of luminaries including Glen Keane, Syd Mead, David Fine, Tomm Moore, John Knoll, Dennis Muren, Mark Osborne, Joe Letteri, Roger Allers and Nora Twomey, as well as a number of Academy Award winning teams behind everything from Back to the Future and Lord of the Rings to Birdman and Interstellar.
