SPAX is one of the leading screw brands in Europe and the USA. SPAX International in Germany produces more than 50 million screws every day. The company was founded in 1823 under the name Altenloh, Brinck & Co. and was the first German company to undertake the industrial manufacturing of screws. In 1967 SPAX was created - the first universal screw to have its own brand name and logo. From the very beginning, SPAX was systematically designed as a quality product and marketed exclusively in the characteristically green packaging. 2017 saw SPAX celebrate its 50th anniversary as a successful brand product. Frustrated by the lack of quality screws in the Australian marketplace and well aware of the strong reputation that SPAX enjoys with builders in Europe, Michael Koenig set up a distribution network for SPAX International in the Pacific.
