We are a non profit organisation that provides advice and services to support children and adults with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. The name SPELD stands for SPEcific Learning Difficulties. SPELD SA is a non profit organisation that provides advice and services to children and adults with specific learning difficulties and those who care for, teach, and work with them. SPELD SA was founded in 1969 and is guided by a council, whose members include parents, teachers, accountants, lawyers, psychologists, optometrists, speech pathologists and other interested professionals. SPELD SA receives an annual grant from the Minister for Education and Childrens Services and is reliant on donations from the public. This allows us to provide free advice to concerned members of the public who need support around SPEcific Learning Difficulties.
