Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) provide a lifetime commitment of support and information to all those in Scotland affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. Founded in 1965 as the Scottish Spina Bifida Association, SBH Scotlands aim is to increase public awareness and understanding of individuals with spina bifida and / or hydrocephalus and their allied conditions. It aims to support all those affected to identify their needs and to empower them to make informed choices and decisions and therefore allowing them to live the highest quality of life possible. From finding out that you are pregnant and your child has spina bifida, to 6 months intensive support at birth supporting through the first operations within the first 48 hours of birth, to every stage in the childs life and transition into adulthood, SBH Scotland are there to provide the reassurance, advocacy, information and support at a time when it is needed the most.
