Sport Whanganui is a Regional Sports Trust (RST) and is funded through regional contracts, sponsorship and funding applications. Our vision is for active, healthy and connected communities. Our team is based in Whanganui in the lower North Island and services the Whanganui, Rangitikei, and Ruapehu districts. We take a local approach to the needs of the community, advocating on a national level and working alongside local government, schools, clubs, health providers and individuals to make active opportunities easier to access.
