Sports San Diego is a nonprofit with the purpose of driving visitor demand to economically benefit the San Diego region through producing the DIRECTV Holiday Bowl, Rady Childrens Invitational, and California State Games and serving as San Diegos sports commission. With the support of the San Diego Tourism Authority and Tourism Marketing District, Sports San Diego was launched in strategic alignment with the DIRECTV Holiday Bowl in February 2022 to serve as the primary organization responsible for marketing San Diego as a sports destination and driving visitor demand through recruiting, supporting, and hosting world-class sports events.
