About Us

Spotlight is a new joint venture established by the two companies with a total investment of 5.1 billion CNY and standard capacity of up to 160,000 vehicles per year. It will require around 3,000 employees after the ramp-up phase. In July 2018, witnessed by Chinese and German government leaders, the two shareholders signed the 50:50 joint venture agreement. The name Spotlight implies light, glory, cleanliness, energy and speed, and underlines the companys vision to create a new model of development in the NEV industry. The JV was officially incorporated in late 2019. Zhangjiagang was chosen as the location of the Spotlight plant because of its solid supplier network, skilled workforce and good infrastructure.
