Manufacturing of bar soap was established by Procter & Gamble at the Ivorydale facility in 1890, with the facility being divested in 2003 to an independent company that was able to consolidate the contract manufacturing of bar soap for a number of leading brand-owners into this high capacity, efficient facility. St Bernard Soap Co. is North Americas leading manufacturer of bar soap, with the capacity to manufacture more than 4 million standard sized bars of soap a day. Our products include: glycerin recovered premium tallow bars and all-in-glycerin alternative, synthetic and semi synthetic soap utilizing either tallow or vegetable soap bases, plus our unique freezer bar technology to produce pure, low cost soap for budget conscious consumers.
