St. Leonards Society of Canada (SLSC) is a membership-based, charitable organization dedicated to community safety. The first St. Leonards transitional residence opened its doors in Windsor in 1962 to welcome people exiting prison and help them establish themselves in the community. The success of the program was soon recognized and it was duplicated in other cities, leading to the creation of the SLSC in 1967. Today the SLSC Team provides policy and research work from Ottawa, to support our affiliate agencies across the country.
